ARIA’S POV “Yes, Aria. Slowly. You can do this.” My face beaded with sweat as I glared at Grace. I was standing on a training platform with a waist-high rail on either side of me. My hands gripped the rails, trying to keep myself from falling over. I took a deep breath and moved one foot, trying to ignore the excruciating pain in my legs. “Yes, keep going, Aria.” “Shut up, Grace.” She smiled sheepishly. I forced myself to concentrate. It took me ten minutes to get to the middle of the platform through a lot of sweating, panting, and cursing. The physical therapist watched me, scribbling something onto a note. His eyes gleamed.
