It feels strange to be greeted by the dim glow of natural lighting creeping in around the edges of the curtains adorning the tall windows in Kendra’s room when I wake up. I’ve spent so many days underground that I’ve grown used to never quite knowing what time it is or how long has passed since falling asleep, so this is a welcome change of pace. It appears to be early morning, and once again, I'm waking up feeling a bit seasick, the dull ache in my head keeping me from moving too quickly to get out of bed and visit the bathroom. Despite a full night of rest, my brain also feels a bit foggy and disoriented, like I’m moving through water both inside and outside of my head.
