“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” Elijah murmured, allowing Jory to place his makeup on his eyes. Jory finished one eye, then pulled back in confusion. “Huh?” “It’s a human saying, but it’s bullshit. Sometimes words are so sharp they feel like they slice right to your soul… you know what I mean?” Elijah asked. Nodding, Jory leaned in to do the other eye, saying, “I know exactly what you mean.
