Elijah took in a deep breath when the ground opened up from above them. Elijah whispered,
“Damn, I forgot how good it felt to breathe in the fresh air around me. Maybe soon I can come up here during the day and feel the sunlight caress my skin.”
“I’m sorry, Viata. We should have come topside sooner. I promise we will come up when the sun is out. I’ve never seen the sunlight, so it should make for an experience.” Khall said with grin.
Elijah gasped, “No, Khall, I’m the one that’s sorry. I should have thought about that after your rebirth. I have an idea. Why don’t we pack us a nice snack and come up here before the sun rises, and that way you can see your first sunrise and we can make love under the stars and sunlight all at once.”
