Elijah could tell that his answer was really important to Topaz, so he thought a moment, then said, “If I knew that I could help, I would help. If someone is friend or family, we are supposed to have each other’s back at all times. It would hurt my soul to know I might be able to do something for someone I cared for and said nothing.”
Topaz didn’t reply and they sat there for about twenty minutes in complete silence before Topaz asked, “Did you know my father was a seer?”
