Alex scoffed. “Then the Moon Goddess is either crazy or blind. How do you pair an innocent, beautiful girl with a sadistic, manipulative, cruel devil like Klaus?”
I smirked. “Well… maybe the Moon Goddess is foolish.”
“You know,” I began, “getting a direct mate from the Moon Goddess is very rare. Finding a fated mate only happens once in a blood moon. I guess that’s why the king forced Klaus to marry Amelia. Maybe he thought Amelia was a blessing sent by the Moon Goddess, someone who’d bring luck to the kingdom.”
Alex snorted. “Well, now the king’s devouring the blessing all by himself.”
