Izzy’s pov

I work at the cutest little diner ever, it has that old school feel with a lot of modern stuff. I enter the back door and till Ray and the others good morning Beth come over and hand me a plate and a cup . I look up at her and smile. How did you know you're here at 630 and you didn't have to be till 10: 30 so that till me you skip breakfast and you didn't sleep well too. I gave her a slight smile and thanked her. Ray is the owner and Bath has worked here for a long time. They are like family. Ray told me when I started that if I wanted to work over my scheduled time I could, he was like my unofficial grandpa that i alway wanted and Beth will, she is that crazy aunt that everyone has. Beth is in her 30s and with multicolored hair and tattoos. She tried to get me to live with her 4.5 years back but the state told her no, so she has helped me with everything; I even needed to use her address to open a bank account. Ray, like my grandpa, helped where he could. He gave me a loan for the car I have and I have already paid it back . He lets me keep it here and use it to make deliveries. They are my little family and I love it. Ray even helped me to get into college. He helped me with mission essays, picking them out. He even showed me the one I'm going to and helped me get a full ride. It pays for everything from my room, food, books. He told me it was the one he went to and even met his wife. They never had kids. She passed a few years after meeting and that's when he moved here and opened his dinner. He once told me she was his soulmate and they were so happy and he hopes that i can find my soulmate one day. I just told him who knows what life and destiny holes are for me there. The bell rings and I look up from my plate to see a man that gives off some very creepy vibes. Ray asked me to stop eating and to go make a few deliveries downtown. I just have a bad fall come over me but I do as he saids. I could have sworn I saw rays' eyes turn black has to be the lack of sleep I had. I grab the stuff and my keys and head out.

it's a little over hour before i get back and i'm frozen in place the whole place is tape off i get out the car and go up to the offers outside and ask what happen and I tell him i work here and his eyes go sad and then called over an older man in his late 40's he kind of reminds me of that madlock character from the old TV shows and introduce himself as detective smith he ask for my name and what i was doing here i explain that i was out on a delivery for the past hour are so and i was just returning. he look at me i asked again what happen he said it looks like some kind of animal attack and there not fully sure but some kind of animal got in here and they tried to fight it. He then asked me what happened before I left . I told him that we just opened and a man came in and Ray told me I need to go make the delivery now he even made me stop eating. Beth was the only other person there. And she was walking up to the man that came in. I look up to him and ask with water starting to form in my eyes where Ray and Beth are if they are alive . detective smith sadly looked at me and i broke down he hugged me as i cried he then told me they both passed that i was lucky that i wasn't here otherwise i would be gone as well. The offer took me home and I walked in lucky Gigi and her minions or nowhere around. I walked up to my room and laid on my bed and just fell asleep. I dream of nothing that night. My heart was broken.
