The rest of the building is empty and the clean-up is quick. Dale carries the body down in the elevator, dumps it outside where he knows no one ’ s going to stumble across it and get themselves infected, then puts on a dodgy accent and calls it in. He decontaminates, then showers and changes in Amber ’ s flat. He knows this place well, feels strangely at home. Using her facilities without asking gives him a sense of power he ’ d thought he ’ d lost. It makes him feel like he ’ s finally using her the way she used him (though few would argue they ’ ve both done more than their fair share of using each other recently). He ’ s ready and waiting for her when she gets back. ‘ Didn ’ t expect to see you here, ’ she says, though she seems pretty pleased. ‘ Thought I ’ d welcome you home. ’ ‘
