MURIELI was asked to contribute an original story to a zombie special published by SFX magazine, and this is it. Writing within a very limited word count and for a broader audience than usual meant that I had to change my style (note the lack of expletives, the unexpected optimism, and the copious use of the ‘ Z ’ word), but I had a lot of fun with MURIEL. It ’ s a quick and disposable little story which looks at the differences between surviving a TV or video game version of the zombie apocalypse, and surviving the real thing.
