Chapter 7

“Those bills were never mine to begin with and I have witnesses that can testify against that.” I said, furious at Diamond and trying my damnedest not to rip her head off and make her eat her own body. “Ms. Geurtrude Guerinla, you have just earned a month’s suspension.” The Principle said, and I was in utter shock to hear Diamond’s name was actually Geurtrude. “I, like, don’t know this “Geurtrude” because my name is Diamond Sunshine Flower; a popular name, like me.” Diamond or Geurtrude said to continue her fake reputation. “That is it, Ms. “Flower” I have had enough of this you have just won a month and a half suspension, weekend detention, and extra homework.” The Principle yelled at Diamond, who was so close to crying. “Like, why do I get the penalty for being popular?” Diamond asked, and she was just begging for another punishment. “Because you are annoying and you lie about this young lady,” the principle pointed at me, “And you counterfeit bills, which need I remind you, is ILLEGAL.” The principle yelled again, closer to calling the cops. “Fine, I can, like, bail myself out of this, call my friends: Cirlea, Glendora, and Heramana.” Diamond said, pointing at the phone. “Or their loser names would be: Damani, Havana, and Rainia.” Diamond said again. “Alright,” the principle dialed the required numbers, “please send up Damani Herasan, Havana Deron, and Rainia Jacksean please.” The principle dialed for the girls Geurtrude (giggle) named. “No I don’t like Diamond, because she acts like she is all that when she isn’t. She goes off and stalks Oliver, when Oliver is dating Rose, Diamond keeps saying Oliver was hers. I am sick of holding in that Diamond needs to get out of freaking la- la land and get her butt off her high horse. She did bribe us with fake money and then threatened us.” A group member, Rainia, said to the Principle. Diamond’s over self-confident face went white and then pale in two seconds flat, she looked like a ghost with a horrible makeup job done by a clown. “Of course I’m sick of it; yes she did try to bribe us into this with fake money; which I never took, and yes she is stalking Oliver. I want her to get her head out of where the sun don’ shine an’ she has got to get her attitude in check.” Another member, Havana, said with a slight Texan accent. Diamonds face was so color drained and sickening to see. “I didn’t want to join her, but she forced me and then she said, and I quote: “You, like, join the poplars or else I tell you mother that you have been sleeping with a guy.” She threatened me with a false statement, so I had to oblige so I wouldn’t get grounded till the day I die. I had to not go against her, because of this threat and now she will tell it to my mother.” The last member, Damani, said, crying. “That is not, like, true because I, like, never said it to her.” Geurtrude said, putting a hand on her hip and looking a little scared now. “I have proof Principle Dasren; I recorded it on my phone.” Damani said, pulling out her phone and going to the recording. “Damani is such a, like, loser name and you should change it to something less popular than my name, like… Glendora.”  Diamond said on the recording.  “But I don’t want to join you, because I like myself the way I am.” Damani  said. “To, like, bad you are going to join or I tell your mommy that you, like, slept with a guy who is on, like, drugs and what not.” Diamond said with a snooty tone that could make anyone drive off a ledge. “No, please she’ll ground me for the rest of my natural life.” Damani said. “Then join the, like, poplars’ so I can win Oli-wali’s heart this time.” Diamond said ending this conversation.     “As you can see by diamond’s astonished look,” Damani pointed at Diamond’s pale face, “that everything I said is true.” Damani said, glaring at Diamond’s shocked expression. “She tells the truth Principle Dasren, Diamond is guilty of a lot more the making fake money and slapping me.” I said, rubbing the now red hand mark that arose on my cheek.     “Ms. Guerilla, you have now earned two months in-school suspension, thirty weekend detentions, and,” Principle reached for the phone and dialed for the police, “Maybe a month or more in prison.” The principle said, ignoring my smiling face. “But, she,” Diamond pointed at me, “like, started it. Look on your, like, cameras.” Diamond said, looking like she ruled everyone with an Iron fist.      “Rose already showed me everything that had happened and admitted to starting it and I have already called her father, so chill.” The principle said, crossing his arms over his chest. “No this, like, dirty, stupid,” Whoa now that was pushing her luck, “Unpopular, and selfish loser should, like, be in prison for bribery or… forcery or…. Somethingelsery.” Diamond said, trying to lie and lie and lie.  All diamond did was get me a minor talk with my dad, which involved a lot of high fives and hugging, but it was serious to a point. Dad drove Oliver home because Oliver’s parents did have to work nights too, I enjoyed Oliver coming over later on in the night to my house so much I almost always knew where he hid; this time it was my closet. “You got Diamond finally in jail?” Oliver asked, sounding a bit surprised.     “Yea and all I got as a punishment was a talk with my dad about how it was wrong to start it but good to get a bad person the just deserts they so well deserve.” I said, kissing him on the cheek and then stuck out my tongue. “I am so proud of this that I am taking you somewhere for our date tonight, which your dad already agreed on.” Oliver said, smirking at the idea of me in a dress. “Enjoy it Haras, you are extremely lucky you and I are in a relationship.” I said, crossing my arms. Oliver sighed and uncrossed my arms, putting his around my waist and kissing me. “So we’re on a last name basis eh Garciella?” Oliver asked, but pursed his lips when he saw my raised eyebrow look I had on my face. “No, Oliver we aren’t so meh.” I said kissing him again, but this time he held on  to my head. I closed my eyes and saw a ton of images flash through my mind about me and how my mind could’ve worked, the first time we kissed and I got mad, my daydreams about inventions, and many more. Some images were about Oliver and his family, others were random. “Wow, what was that?” I asked, holding my head for a minute and then let go. “That is the theory I was trying to test on you the first time, but you weren’t calm or even close to not ticked off at me.” Oliver said and I just laughed at that memory. “Cool, but I want to show you something cooler.” I said, grabbing a remote that could change the place of my room, even though we would still be in my room and in my house. Oliver was going to love it and I was probably going to laugh at any reaction he had. “Where in the world would you like to visit the most?” I asked as Oliver eyed the remote. “Paris, but you have to come with me because I don’t want to be in the city of love without my love.” Oliver said and I blushed that he said that. “To Paris, France then.” I said, pressing the Paris button labeled with the Eiffel Tower.     The scene changed to a small deli in France, with the Eiffel Tower maybe a few miles away. I looked at Oliver, who was shocked to see all this, and laughed at his expression. “Wow, we are in Paris and it smells so good.” Oliver said, sniffing the air filled with many baked goods. “La Ville de Lamour is one of the many places I have always wanted to visit.” I said to Oliver, who was still in shock. “La what de what?” Oliver asked, looking at me curiously.     “The City of Love, dummy.” I said, rolling my eyes. “Oh, so wow this is amazing, much better than my younger brother’s gift to control air in anything and everything.” Oliver said, pacing around what he thought were the walls of my room. “Ha-ha, you can go to the tower Oliver. My room has no boundaries when we enter these places.” I said pushing him close to where my north wall should be.     “I can really go outside the boundaries of what is your room.” Oliver asked putting a hand close to the scenery that should be my wall.     “Yes, go try it.” I said pushing him into the scenery that should have been my wall. “This is AMAZING; it is breath taking in so many ways.” Oliver said, running to the tower and back. Oliver extended an excited hand to me. “I’m coming with you, of course.” I said, taking his shaking hand. “Hold on tight, cause I don’t want you to fall off.” Oliver said, holding me bridal style to the tower. “Ok, Mr. Protective boyfriend.” I said, holding on with all my might when he started to run faster than any race car in the world. We arrived at the top of the tower in less than a minute, and then we took in the view of Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower. “Isn’t it beautiful?” I asked looking at Oliver’s face, which was staring at mine. “Not compared to your mind and soul, Paris is just another city.” Oliver said poetically.     “Aw thanks you big old sweet heart.” I said, hugging him close. “Just one more thing to make Paris, France a little more enjoyable.” Oliver said bringing my face close to his. We kissed on top of the Eiffel tower, in the city of love, and never wanted to let go until Oliver and I both broke away from the kiss. I sighed happily with Oliver’s head on mine and holding my waist in this magical place. “This was the best day ever, excluding the time you humiliated Diamond three times in a row.” I said, laughing at the fact Diamond was in jail for who cares how long. “Yea, this makes number two on my list of best nights, number one was the first time I met you and saw most of your dreams.” Oliver said, kissing my hand lightly. “Where do you want to go next, because I have the entire world in my hands, literally.” I said, waving the remote around. “How about… Venice, Italy for our next trip?” Oliver asked me. “You read my mind.” I said, pushing the button that had a picture of Italy on it. We went from France to Italy faster than the speed of light and trust me when I say it is kind of fun watching light and colors flash before Oliver’s still shocked face. “Here we are: Venice, Italy home of soccer and pasta.” I said stereotypically. “Wow, it was like time warping in slow motion.” Oliver said with his mouth hitting the floor, not literally. “Want to go on a boat ride?” I asked, pointing to the boats on the river. “Sure, a little more romantic that way.” Oliver said. “Then let’s go.” I said, grabbing Oliver’s hand and getting into the boat. “Portaci il lungo percorso, per favore.” I said to the driver in some Italian that S.A.R.A.H taught me. “You know Italian too?” Oliver asked, looking more in shock than what he was in Paris. “Colpevole, which means guilty, I learned after my mom died.” I said, looking at the clear water at the bottom of the river. “Let me guess: S.A.R.A.H taught you.” Oliver said, raising an eyebrow at me. “Yup, she taught me a lot.” I said with a smile, that Oliver smiled at too. “Cool, so where exactly are we going to?” Oliver asked, looking around at each detail of Venice. “I don’t know, I just said to take the long route so we can just sit back and enjoy each other’s company.” I said, smiling again. “I like that Idea, a lot.” Oliver said, holding my hand as we sailed along the water. We just sat, talked, laughed, and enjoyed the ride until it came to a stop at the port with the nicest restaurant in town. “Grazie, buon uomo.” I said to the driver and handed the needed amount of money that he wanted. “Where are we Rose?” Oliver asked, smelling the air. “The best restaurant by the river.” I said, pointing at the food. “Well I am pretty hungry after the ride.” Oliver said. I didn’t know vampires could eat regular food, guess they do now. Oliver and I then walked up to the resturaunt when the lady greeted us in Italian. “Beavenuto, cosa posso farti due a mangiare?” The lady asked and Oliver moved so I can speak to her. “Let me:  Due speciali, tnere I jalapenos, e due bevande anacoliche del tuo migliore per favore.” I said to the clerk at the desk. “Questo è il nove dollari.” The clerk said. “Va bene, qui sono le otto e le nove.” I said to the clerk, handing her the money. “Grazie e un grande giorno.” The clerk said, watching us walk away. “What did you say to her?” Oliver asked, still not understanding one word I said. “I said two specials, without jalaepenos, and two soft drinks of their finest soda.” I said to Oliver, eating the dish I came to love. “Oh, and what did she say back?” Oliver asked, taking a monster bite out of the tortilla the food was wraped in and giving off a yum sound. “She said it was nine dollars for everything, sometimes it is less if you don’t order drinks.” I said, taking another bite of my food. “Okay, I do have to say that this,” Oliver pointed at the food, “is amazing to the taste buds.” Oliver said, smiling with his classic smile. “Yea, it is also really good for your health.” I said, finishing off my food and tossing it out. “So where would we be right now if we were not in your room?” Oliver asked, tossing his empty plastic plate away too. “We would be about maybe into downtown Denver or farther at this point.” I said, srunching my eyebrows to concentrate. “Wow, that is pretty far for a short boat ride and a small walk.” Oliver said. “Yea, its very complex, I configured this machine to the same spot so we wouldn’t get lost in downtown Denver.” I said, showing him the configuration I did for the remote. “That is cool, when did you complete this type of thing, to go beyond the boudaries of your room?” Oliver asked wide eyed. “I did it with a trial run, but I need to go back to my room to actually explain it because all my tools are there.”I said, pressing the home button.  Oliver and I arrived back in my room in less than two seconds with woosh and a small wirring sound. I looked around for everything that I kept since I did the expansion. “Okay, this tool is a small relapse device that can slide things back to there former state, like shrinking in a way, and I thought if I can make this room return to normal size or shape when I changed to the scenery, then I can expand it,” I got out another tool that looked the same as the other, only it was newer, “so I made this expansion device that can expand my room to three times the size of Europe in a single press of a button and that  is how I can get the boundaries to expand or not even exist.” I finished, closing Oliver’s wide open mouth again. “Cool, so the limit on Paris is the end lines of the boundaries in the directions its in?” Oliver asked, still processing. “Yes, the boundaries of my room expanded to the boundaries of where ever we visit.” I said, pointing at each device. “So you use the relapse device to get it to this?” Oliver said, looking around my normal sized room. “No, I hooked the relapse to the home button so no matter how big the room may get it will go back to the original shape and size it was.” I said, shaking my head a bit. “Show me please, I’d like to see this.” Oliver said, pointing at the expansion device. “Ok, how big do you want it?” I asked, turning the dials to turn on the expansion devise. “About the size of the Great wall of China.”Oliver said getting into a stance to run all the way. “Okay, one room the size and length of the Great Wall of China coming up.” I said, turning on the device and setting it to the measure ments it should be.  I saw a long narrow way that looked like it went on forever go out in front of me and Oliver. “Okay, I’ll be right back.” Oliver said and ran into the distance, then came back to run to the other end in a second and a half. “Wow, it is as long as the Great wall of China!”Oliver said, looking both directions. “The best part is that my room is the same size on the out side.” I said, looking at Oliver’s newly shocked face. “That is impossible, a room this long hidden from the outside?” Oliver asked, pointing at the long narrow room. “If you don’t believe me, go see for your self.” I said, crossing my arms over my chest. “Fine, I will.” Oliver said running outside. I looked out the window and collapsed on the floor laughing at Oliver’s face trying to figure this out. Oliver came back, still in shock, and grabbed my head tightly. I stared at Oliver for a long while until he broke the tension by kissing me very deeply on my lips. “My girlfried is a genius.” Oliver said after he broke away from me. “And don’t you forget it.” I said to Oliver, smiling and the laughing. “How on earth did you do make it look normal from the outside when it changes on the inside.”Oliver said, even more confused than he originally was. “It is virtual, even though you can go past my walls, it will look the same on the outside because of this fact.” I said, rubbing my temples after too much brain work. “Oh... that’s why I saw you laughing like a deranged hyeina.” Oliver said, chuckling a bit. “Yup, I was laughing because of that idiotic look on your face.” I said, laughing and covering my mouth. “Take your hand off your mouth, I like your smile and your laugh.” Oliver said, smiling. “Really?” I asked, slowly removing my hand from in front of my smile. “Why wouldn’t I? It is as cute as you are when you’re mad.” Oliver said. “It’s just that I haven’t laughed or smiled since mom...” I said sadly, staring at the ground until Oliver lifted up my face. “I am glad you are smiling, despite all that has happened, because you’ll need it for our date.” Oliver said, smirking. “Oh right, the I get to see Rose in a dress funny bit right?” I asked, going to my closet to pull out a dress that my dad had only just recently bought maybe a month or so ago for me. “No I think you’ll look amazing, cause you can pull anything off.” Oliver said, then gaped when he saw the black drees that came to my knees I pulled out. “This,” I laid the dress down on the bed, “is the dress I am wearing to dinner because it is new.” I said, straightening the collar that was slightly down in the front. “Well, our reservation is a nine, and its eight  and I highly suggest you get ready now.” Oliver said, pointing at the clock.  “Fine, you go change into suit or something.” I said, pushing Oliver out of my room.  I stared at the dress for a long time and finaly decided to get it on. I got into the black dress with three white stripes across the front and back, then into some tights so I wouldn’t look rediculous if i fell down in heels, then I took a glare at the ever so slight makeup kit that was collecting dust since I first got it and put only eye shadow on, and finally I did my hair up in a small bun. I went upstairs to see my dad’s face go from happy to a grown man crying. “You look just like her, Rose, you look excatly like your mother.” Dad said, hugging my small and skinny figure. “Thanks dad, I just wish...” I said trailing off, because I knew that dad knew what I meant. “I do to kiddo, by the way I got you a little something.” Dad said pulling out a small purple fake rose and handed it to me. “Aw, thanks dad, you know me way too well.” I said, taking the rose and cutting it so I can put it in my messy bunned up hair. “There, now this is much better that I have little bit of me left in this mess.” I said pointing to the dress and heels I am forcing myself to wear. “Yea, I am very happy to see you happy though Rose.” Dad said, smiling like his life depended on it. *DING DONG* It was Oliver, of course, probably standing there with a bouqet of roses. “I’ll get it dad, you just sit there and watch the game. Remember to keep it low so the nieghbors don’t hear the rucus.” I said, running to the landing to greet Oliver.
