The theatre was impressive. Ornate plaster moldings, fine tapestries, beaded chandeliers, and massive mirrors decorated the multi-tiered lobby. Staircases with elaborate tile designs and delicate ironwork led from level to level. Thick carpeting rested under their feet, heavy draperies hung over the windows, and carved furniture lined the lobby walls. The thirty-some million that investors had laid out to save the theatre from the wrecking ball and bring it back to its original glory had done a very fine job indeed.
