I was uneasy because I was afraid of what Rochelle would do. I clutched Daren’s hand tightly and made my way to wherever he was. The party was loud, and couples were making out, drinking, or smoking in every corner.
“Watching all these people makes me want to get high and f**k you,” Daren said through the loud music in my ears.
I did not respond right away because my attention was drawn to Cameron, who was sipping a drink in a corner. Something about the way he sipped from his glass drew me in, and I could not take my eyes off him. When his gaze met mine, he vanished while I continued to stare as if he were still there.
