Jason’s P.O.V The next couple of days, it was safe to say, were rough. Erin’s family had been informed that the man who’d killed their father and husband had turned themselves in; when they found out that person was Jack, it added a whole other layer of shock and hurt. I had hoped that after her ordeal, Erin would be able to come home and rest but so far, it had been nothing but more upheaval. I’d been on my couch waiting for her to get back from her Mom’s for the last 5 hours. Eventually she walked through the door at just gone 10pm, wearing her long, button down coat; she must have detoured past her apartment to pick it up.
