Chapter Five
Dozens of ways I might be able to trick Ravi into coming after me stream through my mind, but I seriously doubt any of them are actually going to work. Ravi isn't dumb. He might be one track-minded, but he definitely isn't an i***t, which will stop him falling for a lot of them.
Some of my ideas won't work because I don't think he knows where I am and there's no way of letting him know. Others are just pure fantasy, even if I wish I could make them work so that we can take him out and then all move on with our lives.
"Lily?" Bryce asks, cutting through my thoughts.
"Hmm?"
"I asked if you wanted a takeaway tonight."
"Oh, right. Sorry, I was lost in thought."
"I guessed as much, want to share what's bothering you while I order pizza?"
"I'd prefer Chinese?" I suggest.
