Chapter Nine The moment I walk through the door to our room, I fling myself into Bryce's arms and bury my face in his shoulder. A heaving sob rips through me before I can stop it. But he doesn't question it. Instead, he wraps his arms around me and holds on tight, swaying slightly in a comforting motion. We're standing in the middle of the room away from any comfortable places to sit, but it doesn't matter. His arms are all I need. His support is what I crave. Bryce can centre me in a way no one else has ever managed. He's the friend I've always needed and so much more. Simply holding me just proves it. He knows what I need, potentially better than I do. My chest tightens as tears stream down my cheeks. It's difficult to breathe, and yet I know I'm not dying. I held in too much emotion
