The fleet had gathered over Spruce, the silence of the space outside replicated inside every ship as the tactical holograms of Chimera ships entering the system increased in number. They started out as no more numerous than the first Chimera force that had quickly been dismembered, then another equally large force entered the system through the opposite side.
