Chapter 28: Summer
“Yaaarrrgh!” Fall started screaming and hammering the ground, then pounded his chest while still letting out guttural roars. The robot immediately turned away from Logan, facing the Rajaptor who now charged, still screaming, at the mechanical monstrosity. The rifle opened fire against the brute, who had suddenly been enveloped in an armor of Dark Matter. The colossal plasma rounds struck Fall as if they were nothing, the Dark Matter around him absorbing the glowing spheres as soon as they touched. Soon, the Sledgehammer struck the robot’s torso, resulting in no more than a dent. Another blow to the robot’s leg, then one to his thorax, and another to his arm, and the thing remained unharmed, even though briefly thrown off balance by each strike. Logan watched awestruck.
