It was not yet the right time to reveal everything to Waylen. At least, not the time I had planned. I had always intended to tell him the truth—but only when I was certain that he was completely on my side. I wanted him loyal to me, bound not just by respect, but by trust.
But circumstances were no longer allowing me to wait.
Deep inside, I was eager—eager to see the look on that black wolf’s face when he finally realized that I had used his own son to destroy him. To bring down the Midnight pack from within. To shatter everything he had built.
