Sam was between them inside the Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel gradually rose. Li saw Jas's face; her eyes were closed, she was very pale, and she was gripping the guard bar tightly with one hand. He held her cold hand and put his arm around her, so it seemed like they were both embracing Sam in the middle.
Jas felt Li's hand on her shoulder and her other hand. She was too nervous to react. She felt the man's warm breath in her ear. “Relax, I’m here,” he said and squeezed her palm. She felt her fear subside a little.
