“Hello Nurse. You’re new here,” said the doctor who entered Jas's suite. She was masked and in a PPE suit.
The nurse nodded. The nurse read the doctor's name tag. “Dra. Lapig, the patient is doing well.”
“Good,” she said to the Nurse. She was adjusting the flow control of the patient's dextrose. “It’s time for injection.” She took out a syringe from the pocket of her PPE suit.
“Hold on, Doc,” the Nurse said in alarm. “Let's wait for my colleague. She's the one with authority over the patient's chart. She's just having a meal.”
“Nurse, I am also authorized to attend to the patient’s needs,” the doctor said in an irritated voice.
“Because that's what Dr. Carpio instructed,” the nurse explained, attempting to stop the doctor.
But the doctor did not listen to the nurse.
