I sped onto Beacon Street. The moonlight illuminated my path. The glass doors of the high-rise slid open. I put one foot into the building. The second one followed reluctantly. The light in the foyer was off, only a dim emergency one shown that the front desk was empty. Soft music filled the air. An eerie feeling gave me stomach cramps. The melody sounded familiar, but I couldn"t put my finger on it. I looked over my shoulder. Everything seemed normal. I wasn’t sure what I expected to see.
