"Good girl. Now, let's discuss the terms of your new life."
Adrian's words hung in the air between them, and Zara felt a shiver run down her spine. She'd just agreed to belong to him completely, and the reality of what that meant was starting to sink in.
"Terms?" she asked, her voice smaller than she'd intended.
"Of course." Adrian stepped back and walked to a sleek bar cart in the corner of the room. "Would you like a drink? You look like you could use one."
"I don't really drink."
"Tonight you do." He poured two glasses of something amber and expensive-looking, then handed her one. "It'll help you relax."
