Chapter ThreeWilliam waited for three days, knowing in his heart that she would not return. But he didn’t leave the house, in case she decided to do what she had said she would. By the time Lucius called to find out why William had missed several therapy appointments, he had admitted to himself that it was over. “She left? Just like that?” Lucius asked, in disbelief. “Yeah.
