Nothing. I had searched all night and found nothing. I swiped my hand across my face and glanced at the time on my phone, the screen glaring at me in the dark, windowless computer room—7:12 a.m. After grunting, I wiped my tired eyes again and turned back to the computer. On any normal day, I’d be at school by now, swapping weed for money in the student parking lot—or occasionally the teacher’s lot too.
