Carrying a light pack, I had just stepped out of the airport when I spotted Hannah. She was deeply tanned, yet her eyes remained gentle and clear. Her eyes reddened the moment she saw me, and she rushed forward to wrap me in a tight embrace. "Delilah, how did you let yourself get so run-down?" The familiar warmth of her embrace, the peace I had missed for so long, finally let my frazzled nerves relax a little. Hannah had set aside a standalone cottage for me in the courtyard with the best natural light and the quietest surroundings, so I could recuperate in peace.
