Ruby's face was frantic as she rushed over. She spread her arms wide to shield Julian, glaring up at Hannah. "Don't hit him! It's not Mr. Ward's fault. Blame me if you have to; it's all my fault!"
Her act only made Hannah's anger grow. She decided to take them both on, showing no mercy.
In the chaos, Julian raised his hand and shoved Ruby hard away from him. The force sent her stumbling to the ground. He turned his eyes to Ruby, and for the first time, there was nothing but raw fury and disgust in his gaze as he roared, "Get lost! Get out of my sight right now! We're done! All of it was just you kidding yourself! Because of you, Delilah and I ended up like this. You destroyed everything!"
He deflected every ounce of blame onto Ruby, whitewashing himself completely.
