Chapter 36

Cam’s Point if View

"Is it another hundred item test?" I asked Nicolai when we already reached the study room. I am going to retake a test for the subject we discussed yesterday because I got a bad score. I am not in the mood yesterday. I am not in my usual self maybe that is why.

"Yes. But with different sets of questions." He replied. I salute him for being patience with me. I am not a hardheaded kind of student. I learn fast but Nicolai is the one who created the questionnaire. If it is hard to answer an exam, it is harder to create one because there are certain consideration needed to consider.

I get the test paper on Nicolai and start to answer the question. It is just a typical kind of test divided into different types such as modified true or false, identification, enumeration and multiple choice.

I finished the exam in less than thirty minutes. I am not full of myself saying I am that smart but the questions were indeed easy. Maybe I am just preoccupied yesterday.

After the test, I give the test paper to Nicolai and he started to check it. I smiled when I saw consecutive red check symbols on my paper. I patiently waiting at him while looking at his face. If I didn't find him annoying at first met, probably I liked him earlier than this. Maybe that would the time that I will believe in such saying, love at first sight, but in my case, that would become like at first met. Having him as a view is already satisfying.

"Don't stare at me that long. You might never get your eyes on me ever again." He said that made me look away. Gosh. How did he knows that I am staring him?

"Dzuhh I am not staring at you. Dream on." I said in an irritated way. I purposely said it that way to save myself from humiliation. I know he already knows that I like him but I am not into him,

yet.

It was just a matter of adoration and I am afraid to make it deeper that is why as much as I can, I will distance myself.

I looked at him to check if he is already done checking but that was a mistake.

Our eyes met.

I can't stand the way he looked at me. I think I am going to melt anytime soon.

"Okay. You say so." He said while having a smirk on his face. That does not end there because while checking my paper, Nicolai is smiling. He looked like an insane. What was that?

I am observing him while he continued to check my paper until he finished it.

"Congratulations. Got a perfect score." He said and showed me my paper. It has a score in the upper right, one hundred. I smiled at him, looking proud.

After that, we began to discuss next subject. I only have three remaining subjects to study and by next week, I will be having an examination in all of these.

"Is it necessary for girls to wear make up?" Nicolai asked. We are now having Personal Development in our discussion.

"Nope, but make up gives confidence to girls. It helps them to have this kind of self esteem they do not have before. It makes them enhance their physical appearance and look presentable. That is why we wear make up." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

"Why don't you wear make ups?" I raised my left eyebrow after hearing that from Nicolai.

"Because I don't need make ups to build my confidence Nic." I said and called him Nic as per in his second name, Nicolai. I've seen him taken aback just a little when I called him that. "And I want my face to look always natural. I already have the beauty with or even without make ups. But I do, occasionally." I added. That is true. You won't see me having a make up if there is no need of that. I only wear that if I have parties to attend and such gatherings where I need to look more formal and even more presentable.

"I hate to say this but I agree. You look even more beautiful in a natural way." He said that almost makes me jump of my chair. I didn't see it coming. Did he really said that?

The discussion between me and Nicolai goes on. We pointed out other possible reasons why do girls uses make ups. Aside from the confidence it gives, it also pushes your insecurities away. There are many girls out there that has a lot of insecurities in her life especially in physical appearance. Make up on the other hand helps them escape insecurities and develop themselves. Wearing make ups also makes their day lighter. Seeing yourself in a fresh manner pushes away negative vibes that is fostering your whole system. And another thing why do girls uses make ups because of seduction. They used this as a weapon to seduce someone.

We have a great topic as for tonight. We did enjoy exchanging thoughts and ideas. We even did a thorough search of information from a reliable source to support the ideas given. Because of that, we have not noticed that it is getting late so Nicolai and I decided not to have a test. According to him, test is not necessary for tonight because he have seen that I have able to grasp the whole content of the lesson.

We went down to ground floor where our family are. They are waiting for us to finish what we are doing. My parents invited Nicolai over dinner and this guy said, yes.

“Are you sure you don’t have any other plans right now?” I asked.

“None.” He replied.

We all went to the dinning area and occupied the seats there. Grandma lead the prayer before eating.

“I have heard that you with your friends built a strong friendship.” Our grandfather asked while slicing his steak and put it in his mouth.

“Ah yeah grandpa. They are actually a good friends.” I commented.

“I am glad to here that. Continue the bond of our families.” That is what we have here, unity and integrity. “By the way, please take good care of our granddaughter.” He said that creates tension.

“I will Sir. With all my heart and performances, I will do everything to save her.”
