Chapter 29

Cam’s Point of View:

We talked a lot about our lives. Me back when I was in Manila and their lives here. How did they ended up being friends though they were expected to have this kind of bond before of familiy relationships.

Like what our parents said during the party in our first night here in the island. The bond of these five families were diamonds, unbreakable. No one can simply ruin the trust, love, care and support if each family to one another.

I don’t know where and when did their friendship started but I salute the past generations for bringing it up.

I crossed my arms to touched my upper arms. I gently squeeze it when I feel I am being cold. I saw in my peripheral vision that Nicolai stand and went on the chair and picked up a white towel before coming back ang sit beside me.

I turned to him when he suddenly placed the towel on my back.

“It’s getting cold because it is late at night already.” Nicolai said. I smiled at him and said thank you. After that, I turned to the group who are having discussions what are we going to do right now.

"I will be the one to first spin the bottle." I said. We are going to play truth or dare by spinning a battle. After that ample amount of time alloted for a sharing, we decided to play. Whoever the mouth of the beer points to, he or she will be the one to ask truth or dare.

We have drank how many bottles already and I feel somewhat dizzy but I push that away. I want to enjoy this short weekend vacation with them.

"Okay, be ready." I said and spin the bottle. We patiently waiting for the bottle to stop to know whom its mouth points.

The first victim is no other than the cold and emotionless queen of the group, no other than, Viper Costillana.

"Dear, is it truth or dare?" Alliah asked. She seems like excited. The first victim chose truth. Then, one of us will be asking question to Viper.

"Truth." Viper abruptly said without even thinking what to choose.

"I will be the one to ask!" Mitch said while raising her right hand and beaming wide.

"Given a chance that Krysler will be back here in the island and he still have a feelings for you. Will you give him a chance?" Mitch asked and Viper gave her deadliest stare. Wait a minute. Did I just heard Krysler? Is it the same Krysler I know, my idol? I have heard from my brother that Krysler came from Arcillana.

"I don't know. Maybe, but he have to work hard for it. I will never be the same person who are easy to get." Viper said and chuckled. And have another bottle of beer.

"W-wait.. who is that Krysler?" I asked. I am really curious.

"Krysler Thompson, Viper's ex boyfriend."

"WHAT?" That is my reaction. I could not just believe what I am hearing. An international singer Krysler Thompson was Viper's ex?

"You know him?" Alliah asked curiously.

"Who would not Al? He is famous! And I am dying to meet him! Gosh." I said. Viper's eyes became different. It seems she became someone else. I defended myself immediately before she could think that I like Krysler.

"He is just my idol. He is not really my type. He just have an amazing voice. I have seen him once in person and got the chance to have a photo with him during his concert in LA where we spent our vacation." I said. That was I think just a year ago. We went to LA for a vacation but the main reason was, our parents had a business trip there that goes around two weeks. So they brought us with them.

"Oh yeah, Krysler have been the face of today's generation." Alliah agreed. "But don't dare to have a feelings for her Cam, someone owns his heart already." She reminded and looked at Viper. I smiled at them and said,

"No worries. I like someone else." I said and spin the bottle. I also asked for one more bottle of beer.

The mouth of the bottle points at Hytham. We asked him if truth or dare and he answered truth. Since Viper was the first victim before Hytham, she will be the one to ask the question.

"Who is your crush right now?" Viper asked. Hytham looks like thinking for a while before he answered.

"Kae." He replied. I creased my eyebrows because I don't know who the hell Kae is. "She is the president of school paper publication. She has this angelic face, soft voice and she is intelligent." Hytham replied as if he read what I am thinking as of the moment. I nodded at him as a respond.

I spin the bottle and I almost puke because of sudden reaction while having a drink.

“Truth or Dare.” They asked. And without further ado, I said truth. It is better to be safe rather than to be an entertainment in endorsing their chooses.

“You’ve mention that you like someone else. Who is that ‘someone’?” Hytham asked. He was the one who were assigned to asked me. I immediately said the name of Nicolai without even thinking and realizing that was just behind me. I think my cheeks were red right now. I cannot looked at him because everyone were teasing us.

“Ayieeee Cam, Both of you will likely be the best couple in the campus.” Mitch said while giggling. She is enjoying what happened. I want to curse myself but because I already have alcohol inside me, everything went just fine.

I am about to ask for one more bottle of beer when Nicolai want me to stop.

“You have drunk enough Arabella.” He said in a huskyw voice. Yeah, I think I am already drunk. My head were spinning and I can feel dizziness. I am about to say something when I saw the mouth of the bottle pointed at Nicolai. It is his turn.

Thelonious will be the one to ask a question. “Truth or Dare?” He said and Nicolai answered truth. He then looked like in thinking position when I saw him.

This is boring! No one ever tried to pick a dare!

“Will be you and Margaux to have an end game?” Thelonious asked.

As much as I want to look at him while he is composing his answers, I can’t. I am afraid what I am going to react.

“I think that will most likely to bhappen.” Nicolai said that makes me stood and ask if where are their comfort room.

I can see the faces of the three girls. They look sorry but I just gave them an assurance smile.

I feel dizzy but I forced myself to stand up.

“Hey careful.” Nicolai reminded.

I pushed his hands away when she volunteered for a help. “I can manage.” I said and walked in an X form of walking. I stopped for a while when I felt that I was about to lose my balance and continued after that but I don’t know what happened.

I suddenly felt I am in someone’s room before everything went black.
