Chapter 32

Cam's Point of View:

"I think this will be the last that you are going to help me with these. I can handle it myself." I said to Nicolai while my focus were on the test papers. I am currently answering a hundred item test that tackles the whole lesson which we have discussed tonight.

It is already seven thirty in the evening and it is getting late. We have not yet eaten our dinner. While I am answering the test, Nicolai was also busy finalizing everything. He also finished writing the letters we need to send in different people that we are going to invite to the event as well as agencies that we might need in case of emergencies such as fire fighters and ambulance. Nicolai's dad suggested to add some militaries to patrol the school perimeter because only one of the uninvited guests were caught. His companions were still roaming around the island and he fears that they will create commotion to the venue. I should be the one to write those letters because I am his secretary, the executive secretary however Nicolai presented to write those letters so I could rest after this. That is what he told me.

"No it's okay. We will finish it together." He said when he diverted his gaze on me. I am just concern because he is being loaded. He is busy being the student council president and I know for sure there are also other things that he handles. I just don't want to be a burden to other people. I know to myself that I can stand alone.

"But —"

He have not given me the chance to complete what I am going to say because he glared at me. A glare that would say, "stop it if you don't want to regret it" so I closed my mouth in an instant. Not that I am afraid of him but I suddenly feel that I have to close my mouth.

I finished the test paper and gave it to him. He checked it without even having an answer key. That is how intelligent he is. I salute how sharp his thinking was, how critical he thinks and how he applied conviction in every words he uttered and might even his gestures. He really deserves to the student council president. He has the authority and all.

"You seems lost or you don't fully understand the module?" He asked. He finished checking my papers and I can say based on what he said, I have a bad score. I am not sure if I do understand the lesson because I am more focus on him while he discussed it to help me further understand. I've seen the way he opens his mouth. I've seen the way how he blinks. I've seen how his adams apple moves. I've seen how the way he writes and how good his penmanship. His writings were neat and clean, there is no erasures and his notes were written accordingly. I closed my eyes and have a deep sigh. I am drowning.

"I am just a little bit tired." I said and I know for sure he understand. That might be not the real reason and used as an alibi but it was a half meant. It was just a week since I came here in the island and it was just a week too that I transferred here. I am in a culture shocked and I am supposed to be adjusting first but I was bombarded by these things and responsibilities. Being the executive secretary, dance practices and recently, the pageant. I am preoccupied.

"Okay. Let's end up here. I will give you another test tomorrow about this lesson before you proceed to the next one." He said while fixing his things. I also fixed my things so we can go down stairs.

I don't know what happened to me but I suddenly feel strange. I felt sudden lose of myself.

"How's your school?" My brother asked while we are having our dinner. Nicolai was invited to have a dinner with us but he rejected my brother's invitation because he have an important meet up tonight. So it was just me and my siblings. Our parents and grandparents were still busy. They are still on alert to those uninvited guests. Because of the virus infected by the mole, they are having a hard time on tracking those people and are doing their best to fixed the system.

I am actually having thoughts about it. That mole won't stand alone and won't do such things if he does not have someone with authority that could back him up. This is an ill idea but I have a hunch that there is a traitor in the higher rank and has an authority in the island.

"Super busy. I wasn't expecting that things would be like this. Everything were rushed for me. It seems like they are not in the timing." I said. I am already done with the main course and having an ice cream cake for a dessert. I need sweets right now.

"Oh yeah, there will be a Foundation Day next week. Kade personally invited me to be there as a guest. And I said yes." My brother said. He did? I was just about to ask my brother. Well, because of the things unexpected to happen, I totally forgot about it.

"I was the one who suggested that." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

"How about you twins?" I asked. Their classes were resumed just this morning but there are security patrolling the vicinity of the school. It was not that alarming because they are near the Capitol but they still need to be careful and provide security to the children.

"Well. It was the same old days." Dark said.

"There's a lot of girls actually who wants to befriend my twin brother. Some asked me to get D's number. Hello we are still kids not adults to act like that." Light said. She even rolled her eyes. Gosh, she’s just like me. She is indeed my younger sister.

“Ow, you have fans already?” Our brother asked and chucked.

“Sort of,” Dark replied and shrugged his shoulder that made me laugh just a lil bit. He’s a lowkey.

We continued to talk while eating. This is the way how we catch up to each other since everyone is so busy. I am just hoping that everything will be okay.

After the dinner, I went to my room and go to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I am used to take a shower before I go to bed. I need to clean myself first. I can’t sleep if I can’t freshen up.

Since I am not yet sleepy I turned on my cellphone and log in to my SoLife Account. I am loving this application already. It has features that can be used in different social media apps but with wider range.

I have already a lot of followers and majority are my schoolmates. I’ve watch short video clips to help myself sleep. There are advertisements as well that promotes tourism of Arcillana but I feel bad because it only circulates about the island. This place should be recognized by the world. It deserves every recognition. It was very clean and there are preservation of nature. Proper care for the nature were imposed too. The structures of the buildings were also commendable. You will never get tired of appreciating the beauty of the island and being amazed of what the island could offer you.

I was about log my account out when I saw a post from Margaux tagging Nicolai.

It is an image of Nicolai, her and her family as well. They are having dinner and Nicolai obviously looked happy. So that is the reason why did he rejected my brother’s proposal.

I stared long at his smile. Did he smiled like that when he had a dinner here at our house?

I heaved a deep sigh before logging out my account. He is definitely into her. I should stop myself from exceeding the “like” stage of having an infatuation of him.
