Special Chapter (1) Kade

Kade's Point of View:

"Mom, Do I really need to attend?" I asked my mother who are busy with the paper works. She is already wearing her dress yet she is still working. She is compiling the documents of those who just enter the camp. It is not supposedly her job but she wants to know the background of those guys.

"Yes son. The arrival of the Montidalgo Family is important and we have to be there. My good friend Carmilla has a daughter at your age. Carmilla said that she knows nothing about the island. Not even a single information. And as one of their closest friend, they are expecting us to help her daughter adjust." Mom explained while her attention was still in the papers she's compiling.

I don't understand. Why she knows nothing about the island while his brother, Vonn knew about it and went her already like twice? I don't exactly remember but I have met him twice. They could have just tell her about it beforehand. They could have just explain to her the existence of the island and the reason why do it have to be concealed.

The island was concealed for certain reasons primary to the safety of every citizen risiding the island, who entrust their security to the people of Arcillana who are leading them, the governing body, the council. She should have known it earlier than this because it is her family's idea to conceal the island using a barrier. That is how they intelligent Montidalgo's are.

"I have a lot of works to do tonight mom. There's a lot of documents to check as well." I tried to reason out. I am the kind of person who does not want to attend such parties. It was just a welcome party after all. A representative from our family is already enough for the presence of Buenaventura.

And as for helping whoever that girl is, I think Alliah, Hymitch and Viper are enough. They are friendly, except for Viper who has this short tempered kind of attitude. Even just for Hymitch, she is already a big help for her. She is talkative and a hyper one. She does not need me anymore.

"There's still weekends son. Just get yourself ready and when your dad is already home, we are going to set forth at Montidalgo's Manor." She said. Mom already said it. And I cannot just disobey her orders.

Montidalgo Manor is the biggest house found here in the island and the Montidalgo's is the richest family recorded in today's generation. They have their own company outside the island and as far as I know, it continues to grow. It invades other countries already.

We, the Buenaventura are in charge of the military forces. Both of my parents were in military. My father is the General and my mother is the Lieutenant General. They spend most of their times in the camp, training young men of Arcillana as a reserve for the security of the island. The camp offers various of trainings that could develop one's discipline, sense of responsibility, make sound and timely decisions as well as developing one's social skills including collaboration with the team mates.

"Bro! You are here!" Theo welcomed me with a fist bump. Beside her is Viper who just gave me a nod.

We are already at the Montidalgo's Manor, at the backyard of this three story huge house and I am seeing a lot of higher ranks in here.

"Can't disobey Lieutenant's order Bro." I replied. Theo laughed a bit. He is one of my childhood friends. They are five and three of them are not yet here, the twins and Alliah.

"Aww. You should try to disobey her, let us see what will happen to you. I am curious though." He said and bursted out a laughter. I don't know what would my mother's reaction when I disobey her orders because I have not done it yet. She does not control me nevertheless, I am basing my actions and decisions in life on her judgment because I do believe that mother's knows best. And so far, I have not ever regrets my actions and decisions yet.

"Not gonna happen bro," I said and pulled an empty chair so I could sit.

I checked my watch on my wrist and it is already getting late. People kept on entering the venue and maximize the space. The preparation is quite good and everything looked so elegance with the motif of gray.

"Hiiiiiii!!!!!" Even if I am not seeing her face, I can identify who she is because of her irritating voice of Hymitch Samaniego. "Gosh guys, I am so excited to meet them. I have heard from mommy that Aunt Carmilla's daughter resembled her a lot. Have you seen Aunt Carmilla? She's a goddess." She commented when she came near us. At her back is her twin brother, Hytham. Even if they are a twin, they are still differs in opinions and point of view.

I took a sip of my champagne when I read the message coming from Margaux. I am sure that she is already sulking right now because we supposed to have a dinner date but it was canceled due to this event. I have messaged her earlier. I called her as well and I can hear disappointment in her voice but I promised her that I will make it up to her.

"Let me introduce you the third generation of the Montidalgo's. Vonn Andrew Montidalgo, Camelle Arabella Montidalgo, Princess Light Montidalgo and Prince Dark Montidalgo. Everyone, they are the heirs and heiresses of Montidalgo Clan." Right after their names has been called, they entered the venue and cameras began to flash. Everyone stood up so I did it too and clapped their hands to welcome the four.

My eyes darted on a girl who are wearing a gray cocktail dress. Her short and partially curled gray hair attracts me. It suits her. Hymitch is right, she resembled a lot to Aunt Carmilla who has been the face of Arcillana because of this beauty that could launch a thousands of ships.

What is her name again? Camelle Arabella Montidalgo. I
