“Do you know about Goran?” Was his first question. “I've only heard the name”, I said, “and Lenold mentioned something about it being the city of welfare”. He didn’t answer quickly so I continued talking, “I think Flint has said something about a former lord”, I said, “and the Water serpent did say something about my Dad coming from Goran”. “You father was from Goran. His position there is a story for another day”, Travis said, “but it has a lot to do with this agreement”. “O-kay” I said slowly. He pulled out a folded piece of paper from his pocket.
I collected and read it. My Dad was friends with Travis’s Dad, Cen Albane. Cen and Dad met in a council meeting. The letter talked about a problem of power. Apparently, Dad heard that Cen was having a hard time from his brother, Trand Albane.
