Chapter 22
We talked and planned late into the night into the next day. It was the first time I conversed with Julian in a friendly way. There were no rude remarks or him constantly belittling my ideas. He didn't once disagree with my observations or try to change what I said. Actually having a regular conversation was nice. I started to see him in a different way. When I told him about sneaking to find a phone to call him, he looked concerned about my safety. Like he was disturbed that I had put myself in that situation. Not in the usual way to prove he was right about women not being able to enforce, but because he cared about my safety and didn't want me doing anything dangerous. This wasn't the Julian I've known. He never takes my ideas or theories seriously. I wondered why this was different
