Grabbing his coat from the back of the chair, Anthony put another call in to Chloe's cell. She never paid any attention to the damn thing, but she'd been missing all afternoon. He'd left messages at the house, but she still hadn't called him back. Now he regretted his reticence to talk this morning and he wished he'd told her he needed a ride home when she'd asked. He'd said he would take a taxi, mainly to keep his independence. He'd just wanted to....think. Alone.
