CHAPTER 11
Jotham sat next to Bonny at Cory's bedside. The doctor said he was going to make a full
recovery, but would require rest. Here it was ten hours later, and his mate still had not woken.
"What is taking him so long to wake up? Shouldn't he have woken by now?" Bonny said for the sixth time as she dabbed her eyes.
Shaking his head, Jotham replied, "Doc said Cory could sleep until morning. Why don't you go get some rest? I'll sit with him until he awakens."
"No, I can't leave my son," Bonny said with tears clogging her throat.
Jotham didn't push. Bonny would no more sleep with her son lying injured than he would.
Looking across the room, Billy sat in a chair with Erik holding him close. His eyes were red rimmed from crying, but he was finally resting.
