1. Paradise of Handsome Men.

1965 Words
I was walking down the lanes of the campus. I was both nervous and excited. Can you imagine being a new transfer student to the second year on her first day to college? Well... I am that nervous! Also, can you imagine a total nerd who is going to start her life at one of the most prestigious universities in the country? Well... I am that excited. On my way to the management faculty, where I am going to enroll as a second-year student, I had to go near the football court. I saw some guys were playing there. When I was half passed the football court, something hit me so hard, and I fell down. I was utterly shocked. Making the situation worst, my glasses also fell off. I can't literally see anything without them. So like a blind girl, I was searching for my glasses when someone came and stood in front of me. By that time, those guys who were in the football court have started to shout. God! This is really embarrassing. So without even trying to look at the person who stood in front of me, I continued looking for my fuc*ing glasses, which decided to fell off right at this embarrassing moment.  Now, those guy's shouts have become even louder. I wanted to stand up and leave as soon as possible, but without my glasses, I won't be able to go more than a few steps without bumping into something. However, I felt it is a thousand times better to bump into something rather than lying on the ground like a total i***t.  So, I was about to get up when someone put my beloved glasses on my eyes.  Yey!!! I can see the world again... I quickly raised my head to look at the world's kindest man who helps me at this most awkward time. Oh! My Goodness!!! This can't be a normal human being like the rest of us, must be an angel sent from heaven... Undoubtedly the most handsome man I have ever seen in my life. He is more than six feet tall and well built. Definitely, there are six packs or maybe eight packs hidden behind that thin fabric of the football jersey he was wearing. His complexion is tan, like those in Brazil. His eyes are so blue, like the deep ocean... God! How generous you were when creating this man? I was staring at him without even blinking, maybe my mouth was opened too, I don't know. All of a sudden, he held my hand and made me stand on my feet. Then only I realize he was offering his hand for me to stand up when I was staring at him like an i***t. How much more humiliation I have to go through today? "Are you alright?" then he asked with a concerned look. Other than the shock I got after seeing you, yeah, I am alright. "Yes..." I said quickly. "I am really sorry... It was my kick, which caused the ball to hit you." he apologized. Thank God! You could kick the ball to hit me, else I won't be able to see you. "Oh! That's okay, don't worry..." I said, smiling. "You are sure you are alright? Is it hurting anywhere?" he asked. Yes... My heart... It is hurting after seeing you... "No... No..." I said immediately. "I haven't seen you before, are you a new student?" he asked. Well... I don't have a memorable face, Mr. handsome. You won't remember me even if you have seen me earlier. "Yeah... I am a second-year transfer student to business administration." "Really... I am in the same batch as you then..." he said, smiling... Oh! My Goodness!!! That smile!!! It can lit up any dark tunnel... "What the fu** are you doing? We are getting late..." the other guys started to shout at him. Can't you guys just leave us alone? "I have to go, Sorry again and see you around!" he then said with his heavenly smile and left me. I wanted to stop and look they do practices. Honestly, I want to see him practice. My heart was not ready to leave him. But my smart mind was not ready to let me be a total fool... You had enough embarrassments today, let's go. Though, I accepted what my mind asked, my heart stayed there at the football court with that handsome. Replaying what has just happened, I walked hurriedly towards the management faculty. I wanted to go to the Dean's office. I entered from the main entrance, planning to go to the front desk to ask for direction. But I was destined to be humiliated with a record today. I bumped into someone, and the clash made me drop my phone. My poor phone!!! What the fu** is wrong with me? I was so happy I didn't say those words aloud, after seeing who I bumped into... Is this a university or a paradise of most handsome men? The person who was in front of me was like a Greek God! More than six feet tall and so damn handsome with rare green color eyes.  He quickly bent down and pick my phone. "I am so sorry, I was thinking something else," he said apologetically. Actually, I think it's me who should apologize. I have left my heart in that football court, and I was mesmerizing about it. But I wanted to be decent. "That's totally okay..." I said quickly. "Hope it is not broken..." then he said, handing me the phone. "It is not that expensive. So even if it is broken, that is okay." I said, smiling. "Thank God, then I will be able to afford it if it is broken," he said, smiling. God! It is so unfair how you become so generous when creating these two men.  However, I think the guy I saw earlier is much more handsome. Well... He has some tough look in his face, which made him so manly. But this man in front of me right now, he looks more decent and of course, classy. The most understandable explanation I can give is they are like Jacob and Edward from Twilight if you have watched the movie... I don't know whom I like more. But why am I bothering about that? It is not like any of them going to start an affair with me. So, a girl can have crushes on two handsome guys simultaneously, right? "I haven't seen you before, are you a new student?" making me come back to the real world, he asked. "Yes... I am a second-year transfer student of business administration." I said. "Wow! I am your batchmate then," he said happily... Wow!!! Both of them in the same batch as me. My life is going to be more than books this time. "That's so nice!" I replied quickly. "By the way, I am Jeffry everyone calls me Jeff," he said, offering me his hand. "I am Emily, everyone calls me Emily," I said, shaking his hand. His hand was so smooth, unlike the hand which brought me back to my feet a few minutes earlier. He laughed... "Good one, Em..." he said. "Em..." I repeated.  I am kind of an introvert person. I don't really have many friends. So no one actually even tried to shorten my name. Emma is not that lengthy name either. But how he became so straight forward to do it, it felt so nice... "Why don't you like it?" he asked. "No... No... I love it..." I replied. "So, Em, where are you heading?" he asked. "Dean's office." "Ah, just turn left, at the end of the corridor, you will find it. I have to go to a meeting right now, so I can't take you there. But put my number on your phone, so you can call me if you couldn't find it." he said. "I don't think it will be that hard to find a room which is at the end of the corridor," I said, smiling. "Who knows..." he winks at me, making my heart beats faster... "Add my number..." I quickly added his number to my contacts. "Just give me a ring," he said, taking his phone from the pocket. I did what he asked. "Nice... So... See you around, Em. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything. " Jeff then said before leaving me. I started walking towards the Dean's office. I felt like I was in a dream... I literally have zero experience with gu... Most of the time, I don't get much attention from those... The boys who come behind me are the type of nerds who wear glasses and look so weak just like me... I, Emma Heather Gilbert, is not an ugly or unattractive girl. As many have said, I am cute... Yes, not pretty but cute... I am from a family where education is considered as the main priority. Both my parents are well educated and in the highest positions in their carriers. They are also rich and from very good family backgrounds. However, I must say even though they are strict parents, they love me so much... Since I was young, I was learned to keep all the other things away from my life and make my education my life. So, I never tried to dress like a hot girl or do anything to get attention from a handsome guy. I always wore comfy clothes without considering they are stylish or not. My hair is just natural, and I never go for any treatments. When you see me, you won't get any special feelings towards me.  But I am super bright. I have never failed any exam in my entire life, and I am so good at all the subjects. So there is no wonder those nerds coming after me. For them, being studious is what triggers their hormones. But that doesn't mean my hormones also work the same way. I always have eyes for handsome guys. Even though I know, I don't have any chance with them. I always have a crush for the most handsome guys. My family was settled in Sweden for many years, and I was studying at the most prestigious university there. As my father got a great opportunity in his home country, we decided to come back here. My parents didn't want to leave me alone. That's why I had to transfer. At first, I was so against the idea of transferring. I am not good at adapting to new environments. I am not comfortable at meeting new people and make friends.  But I had to respect my parent's decision because I am not used to disobeying them, and also, I was afraid to live there without them. However, I am so happy, I agreed to come here, otherwise, how could I get to know these two? After finishing my work at Dean's office, I wanted to go to the canteen. I don't know where it is.  First, I thought of calling Jeff... But then I felt I should not be that straight forward. So, I went to the front desk and got help... When I go to the canteen, it was filled with people... I got some sandwiches and a coffee and looked here and there to find a place to sit. My eyes stopped at a certain table where that handsome football player was sitting with his friends... He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt now, which perfectly matches him.  He didn't even tell me his name. I thought sadly, looking at him. Right then, he also looked in my direction, and our eyes met... His eyes got stretched as he fell into a sudden thought, then he smiled... Maybe he was trying to recall where he ha seen me and then remembered... "Chris!!! Isn't that the nerd who fell down earlier?" one of his friends shouted. So his name is Chris! Nice name! But, Chris, isn't your friend rude? I know I am a nerd, but shouting it like this... Well... That's rude! Shaking off the idea of going to the vacant spot in their table, I turned around and caught a smiling face in front of me. "You!!!" I exclaimed.
