I look down as a hand touches my arm. A nurse…I wake and check Carys. She’s asleep against my side still.
“Sorry Mr. Taylor I need to check her vitals. She hasn’t woken yet.”
I shake the drowsiness from my head. “Of course. I’ll get up.”
“No you can stay. I only need her arm. Didn’t want to startle you.”
After she’s gone, I get a shower and change before texting to check on everyone.
Francesca is out still. Dad is heading back with breakfast. Annis is watching Aria. Franco and Allen both made it through the night. Deke refused to leave them and Dad arranged for the two to share a room for him.
