Dawn found them in the pack's war room, dealing with the reality of their situation. Maps and surveillance photos covered the walls, and pack enforcers reported on the Hunters' interrogations.
"The Council has three more strike teams en route," Sarah announced, pointing to movement patterns on a digital display. "They're not taking Luna's escape lightly."
"Project Chimera was their crown jewel," Luna explained, studying the maps. "They spent decades trying to create a viable hybrid that combined multiple supernatural bloodlines. I was their only success."
River's hand tightened on her shoulder. "You're not their anything anymore."
"What exactly were they breeding you for?" Ash asked, his tactical mind already working on defense strategies.
Luna took a deep breath. "They wanted soldiers. Weapons. Beings who could combine the strongest aspects of multiple species. Imagine an army of hybrids – fairy magic for stealth, vampire speed and strength, witch power for offense, lycan healing and pack bonds."
"And you're the template," Kade concluded. "They'll want you back to continue the program."
"They can't have her," River snarled, his runes flickering with anger.
"No, they can't," Luna agreed. "But we need more than just Silver Falls Pack to stand against them. The Council controls most of the supernatural world."
Ash smiled coldly. "Most, but not all. I've already contacted the resistance. The Wild Court of the Fae has opposed the Council's breeding programs for years. The Free Covens will stand with us. And the Nomad Packs have no love for Council control."
"We're not just defending our mate," Kade declared, addressing the gathered pack members. "We're starting a revolution."
Luna looked around the room, seeing determination and loyalty in every face. These weren't just her mates' followers anymore – they were her family. Her pack.
And they would fight beside her.
