Zane sat behind his desk, scrolling through the surveillance photos Nick had pulled from the warehouse the night before. The images were grainy, but there was enough detail to make out several members of the Skull Gang and the empty chair where Melena had been tied up. Every time he saw it, his jaw tightened. The moment Hazel had told him Melena had gone after the bikers alone, anger had burned through him. He had warned her, but she had ignored him anyway.
