I got to my royal quarter as the maids bowed in front of me

" Welcome my prince " they chorused bowing

" You should prepare an hot bath for me in 10 minutes " I ordered about to enter my private chamber

" My prince, the Queen said you should see her immediately you get back " one of them said and I sighed

I really want to rest now

I should see her quickly first then

" Good day mother " I said taking a seat in front of her

" Welcome Reagan " she smiled

" Well I don't want to waste your time, you know you're of age already and should be getting married soon, do you have any lady in mind or should I look out for you " she said while I sigh

I expected this to come, was I really ready to get a wife, a responsibility on my shoulder and have my own family

" Well mother, I really don't have any lady in mind right now" I said, sincerely speaking, I have been busy lately and hardly have time for ladies

I don't even notice them

" Then I will choose for you then, we will follow the normal tradition then, I just decided to ask you because I don't want to choose any lady you might not like, I've been checking these pictures of daughters from prestigious families" she said bringing out some portrait pictures of the ladies

Not even a single one of them catch my interest, I don't only want a wife but a shoulder I can lean on but what can I do?

Most prince get married on arrange marriage and I know I can't be an exception

The Queen is the one to choose the Prince's Bride, she can consult some elders if she want also so she can choose the right person

I don't even think I'm ready for real

" Well Reagan, this is Delphine, she is the Commander daughter, her mum use to be my childhood friend, she is beautiful, isn't she, she is the one I like most among these ladies, she is well behaved, I've seen her like four times or so and she she really behaves decently, what do you think " she said showing me her picture

" Well she's good, fine with whatever decision you make " I said

" Then we should just begin the process then, I should get back to her family" She said

" Yes but I want you to give me a month mum, I will work on it maybe there will be a lady I can like more, if I didn't see then, I will just go on with this Delphine " I uttered to buy myself more time

" Okay sure, a month and if you don't see, you will get married to her then, I will send you the profile of all these ladies, you can check yourself and look carefully " she said while I nodded

" Thanks mother, I gotta go now " I said standing up and move out, I suddenly bumped into Andrea, my half brother

That's the least of the people I want to see right now

" Oh Elder brother, you are here" I said as I noticed a smirk on his face

There was only three months differences between us

" Yeah " I replied

" Well, I was just about to go for archery now, mind if you join me" he said with a smile I know was fake

" No thanks" I said ignoring him

I know he has an ambition to become the king

He doesn't like the fact that I'm the crown prince but there is nothing he can do about it

I entered the guest room after changing my clothes, I smiled happily seeing my best friends ( Delphine and Marie) , I quickly took a seat in front of them

" Just where have you been, we've been here for like 20 minutes now " Marie said with an eye roll

" I'm sorry" I smiled

" Are you going about wandering the street again, when will you learn to have your a*s sit down in one place, you're lady for crying out loud, your family reputation is in your hands " Delphine said with a scoff

" Just why are you going to that area, that's too harsh, do you have to be that harsh " Marie said pissed off

" It's okay girls, just forget about that, it's nothing " I said trying to ease the tension

Delphine is just a person like that, she do speaks harshly like that but she's a good person

The maids entered bringing different dishes in front of us

" Oh my favorite " Marie smiled happily as bean cake was placed in front of her

Well the work of my brother though : I laughed

He had always like her

" What the f**k? How dare you? " Delphine shouted and slapped one of the maids

She had mistakenly pour a drink on her

" I'm sorry ma'am" the maid begged on her knees

" It's okay you all leave should leave " I said to them while they all left

" Sarah, what kind of clumsy maids you get here and you told her to leave, i'm not even done with her yet, how dare she ruin my dress, even her life can't pay for it" she said angrily

" Delphine, can't you just stay calm, it's not like the maid did it intentionally, you've got to stay calm and work on this bad temper of yours " Marie said highly pissed off

That's just the kind of person Delphine is and we just have to accept her like that

She's has really a bad temper and very rude also

" it's okay, I apologized on the maid clumsiness , let's just forget about that, we should eat, I can get you another clothes" I said and started eating

" I will just manage it, those lowlifes " Delphine said and started eating also..

Marie was munching on her bean cake already

" Well Sarah, any moment from now, Delphine will no longer be part of us" Marie said while I got confused

" Why? Is she traveling, I don't understand " I replied

" I wonder if you're in this country, so you don't know the crown prince will be getting married soon , a bride will be chosen soon " Marie said while I replied with an "oh"

Delphine has always crush on the prince, she loved and has always say she will marry him

" Well but how are you sure Delphine will be chosen as his bride, yunno there are so many ladies from great background and it is going to be a great competition " I uttered

Well, that's true though

So many ladies will be dying to marry the prince

" Well there's a high probability that she will be chosen, you know her mum is childhood friends with her the prince mother before she married into the royals " Marie said and I could see Delphine blush.. She love the so called prince that much

" Well congrats then, your dream is finally coming true " I said and laugh

" Sarah you've never seen the prince, have you, he is such a great handsome man, he looks like an angel " Marie said drooling even without seeing him

My mind suddenly went to that man from earlier, he is also very handsome

" The first time I saw him was when I follow my dad to the palace, I sighted him from afar watering the flower, he looks like an angel from the .... "

" Enough Marie " Delphine suddenly cut in stopping Marie from continuing her story

What now? She is being jealous

" What? You're not even married yet, you can't tell me not to crush on him, almost all the ladies in the capital does " Marie said rolling her eyes while Delphine gave her an angry look

" But I'm not interested in him anyway, I don't want to marry into the royal family, there will be a lot of responsibilities on my shoulder and you know I'm lazy, I even like another guy " Marie said and blushed

"Hmm and that is " I said suddenly interested

" Why should I tell you " she hissed

Marie is just one playful person

" Hmm well that is your brother, I like your brother " She blushed " You're not to let him know, this is between us" she whispered

" Of course " I smiled

They both have secret crush on each other

" Can we just talk about another thing " Delphine cut in

" Well, do you have time tomorrow, we should go out" Marie said sipping her drink

" I don't , I'm going to the palace tomorrow with my mother to greet the queen"Delphine said feeling proud of herself

" And I have some work to do " I said

I need to walk on that man design, i promised him two days

" Okay then, another time" Marie said

" We've spent almost an hour, I will be leaving soon, I have something to do " Delphine said

" Thanks for giving me a visit" I giggled

" It has been long I saw Damien, what's up with him" Marie asked

" Oh, I think he traveled " I said

" Oh okay, we should be leaving now " Marie said as they get on their feet

" I will see you off then " I said as I followed them out

My father will be home soon
