The trek from the frozen forest was just as tiring and treacherous as ever. It didn’t help that there were a dozen guards escorting us back. Thankfully, Lev and I were given new clothes to change into because we were basically living off scraps of fabric at that point.
“A grand stadium has been erected for the final battle.” One of the guards informed us. “You’ll both be given a few days to recuperate in the housing before that. Once we return to the town, you’ll notice that the pack has gathered to greet both of you in celebration.”
Lev and I share a look but say nothing.
