Rita's Pov.

I was still on my bad when l heard a sudden knock. I stood up and l went to check who exactly it was that was knocking.

I opened the door and it was David who was there.

"These are some clothes l got for you", He stated.

I looked at the lady's hand behind him.

It was a different collection of clothing bags that contained clothes.

"Please get ready for the event. The lady here would style you perfectly", Steven mentioned.

"Okay", l agreed.

David left and then the lady who was requested to help me came in.

I never knew she was a stylist though but it is nice that she is around.

I got dressed up in such a short time and she glammed me up so pretty as well.

I was all done and waiting for David to call on me.

Since l had waited for some minutes and l did not hear anything from him. I stood up and l proceeded outside. I opened the door and it was David l saw.

He was in a suit and he looked really good.

I was a long straight dinner dress that was shining so bright and had a long slit from my thigh down to my feet. It was also a "V" neck shape gown that ran down my sternum showing my oily b**bs off. Although my back was just literally opened.

My dress was just really nice cause l used my gold heels too on my gold shiny dress.

David stared at me for seconds before he said anything.

"I guess you are ready Rita", He uttered.

"Yes, l am", l gave a reply and he brought out his hand towards me.

I looked at him.

I gave him my hand and l went with him down the stairs while l was holding my gown flare with my left hand.

"You look so pretty ma'am ", The lady who glammed me up finally complimented me.

"Thank you so much", l blushed.

I got to the car space and the car door was opened to me by David.

For the first time, l felt so special. Even though David and l are pretending to be such a perfect couple he still treats me well even though l know once he has gotten what he wants and l want also l would file for a divorce.

We finally got to the location where the events were hosted.

Even seeing the cars which was parked before entering l could tell that it was the elite that was in the party because everything l saw was just screaming luxury which it was honestly.

I could not even underestimate the designs that were crafted here.

I was still wondering what kind of work David does that gives him such a great opportunity like this.

"Madam, you can come down now", The driver who drove David and l down there opened the door for me.

I got out of the car and David came to meet me while he gave me his hand.

Reporters and some other people came around the two of us and they began to snap pictures and record us.

Immediately they were about to start questioning us, David bodyguard's came around and surrounded us to prevent any harm.

We finally to the place and the spotlight was on us welcoming us to the event.

"Please, with a standing innovation let us give a round of applause for the CEO of Fashion Hub and his elegant wife", The host requested and everyone did just that.

Everyone was shocked to see me with him.

I was shocked too because I never expected that he was the owner of the number one biggest clothing brand in the country.

I was about to withdraw my hand from me but he held on to my hand.

"Just smile, people are taking pictures", He spoke to me.

I managed to raise my head and smile.

"Come, let me show you to some great people who are here", He told me.

I followed him and he showed me to everyone.

Some seemed so happy to hear that he was married while some were not ready happy about it because it showed in their response.

"Uhm, please excuse me. I would be right back.", l excused myself.

"David, please l would need to visit the bathroom", l informed David.

David looked at me like he saw it coming.

I was rushing and mistakenly my purse fell.

"Oh s**t", l was so pissed at the moment.

I was about to pick it up when l saw a hand coming towards my purse. I guess it was just someone who was planning to help me get my purse up.

There is no way a thief would be in such an event like this even though l do not know what the event is all about.

"Sorry", The man helped me get my purse up and l was trying to fix the flare which my clothes had.

"You look so stunning young lady", The man complimented me and l looked up.

The face looked so familiar.

"This is Steven. What is he doing here?", My instinct had me to believe strongly that is it Steven.

"Rita? How come?", He was perplexed.

I could confirm that he was the one and l saw the lady with him.

I collected my purse from his hand.

"Rita", Steven called.

"Hey Steven", David interrupted while he was coming from behind.

"Do you know him?", l asked David.

"Oh pardon my manners, Rita. This is my cousin, Steven. He assists me with some project work in the company also so he is like a brother to me", David made a proper introduction of who Steven appears to be to him.

"And that is his wife, Sophia", David added.

I looked at Steven with anger filled with me.

I have never imagined such a thing could happen to me.

"Oh my goodness", l was so pissed.

"Is there anything Rita?", David was concerned.

"Nothing at all David", l gave a pretentious smile and l left the place.

The bitterness of everything l did for him and he still had the guts to cheat and betray me came upon me.
