Bruno had finally convinced his sister Sofia to travel. Taking her with him, they reached Lisbon from Cordoba in 4 days. They made their way to the port where they were to meet Captain Garcia. Lisbon was a very old Spanish port. Since the time of the Phoenicians, it had been an important place in maritime affairs and had been Europe's main gateway to the whole world by sea.
