The figure I saw was Mayra, the organization's secretary who usually accompanies Leon.
I stood silent, staring at her. I shouldn't have been too surprised, but seeing her facial expression and her attitude this time left me a bit stunned.
'What's wrong with her?' I asked myself.
Leon had told me about the misfortune that befell Mayra. He caught Hailey and her two cronies bullying the girl because of her closeness to Leon, and I knew how difficult Mayra's position was, especially since Hailey started college here.
