"Mom, please answer me, where is Leon now?" My voice trembled as I looked at my mom's sad face. "I'm safe and I'm sure that Leon is the one who helped me. I really memorized his voice in the last moments before I was sucked by the living mud."
My mom let out a long sigh. Her eyes looked sad as she looked at me.
"Leon's condition is very bad, dear. Adrian took him to a hospital abroad," she replied softly. "So I don't know what Leon's condition is like now."
My chest immediately tightened. I wanted to reject this fact, but when I remembered the incident at the edge of the cliff where Leon had been seriously injured, I could confirm that my mom's story was true.
