You're just a girl !!!

Chapter seven.

His landing make the earth quake, tears rolled down my face as I not only felt his pain but I was so worried about him my heart hurt. I wasn’t even aware that everyone had followed me. “Brom, help me!” I screamed as I put my hands over the deep lashes across his snort; the next second Brom and the elf were next to me. “You need to help us heal him, put your hand over his wounds and repeat after me, let the energy flow thru you and into him. Weiss Heal.” Over and over again we did this until Drac was completely healed, as we finished I could feel how weak I had become, Drac’s wing caught me before I had even begun to fall. It was noon 2 days later when I finally woke up, Drac was lying next to me on the floor. “You scared the hell out of me!” I snapped at him quickly, “I am sorry little one, I ran into a creature called the Razac they are the greatest enemy of dragons. They are coming with the Kings Kull army, they will reach tonight.” I got dressed as quickly as I could then flew down with Drac to the command tent, as I walked in they all bowed to me. “Eve I am glad you’re better.” Brom said as he touched my arm. “So what is the plan? How do we send these monsters back to hell?” I had anger in my voice I never known I had but nothing attacked my dragon, I could feel Drac hum with love towards me. We spent all afternoon making the arrangements for the women and children to go into the caves and head for the forest with 3 members of the Varden’s magical group. The dwarfs had armour in Drac’s size and I was given armour aswell, Brom came in just as I finished getting redressed over my armour. “Battle looks good on you; I would like you to have this. It was given to me by my father when I finished my riders training and now I give it to you as this is your first battle but not your last.” “You still owe me some answers so do not think that dying will save you from answering them old man.” I smiled at him; he smiled back at me then left to take his place in the battle below. Drac and I were staying up in the cove to keep an eye on when the kull would break thru. “Drac, I must ask you something before we start this battle. Why did you choose me? There must have been many who had touched your egg before me.” I asked him softly as I looked at all the people below who had put their trust in me and expected me to save their lives. “For that very thought, you have this hope that you alone can save this world even if it took your life. You have a light within you that I have never felt before and yes I was touched and held by many people and elves but none felt right until you touched my egg and suddenly flashes passed from your hands straight into my mind and I knew I would never find another like you. I had loved you since my first thought and until my dying breathe I will love you Eve.” I smiled thru my tears at him and kissed his snout. “Always and forever.” I whispered. Just after nightfall I could hear them in the tunnels, it was only minutes until the first wave came into view, within seconds thousands of kull where in the main yard. The air was filled with the sound of metal on metal, of men and monster screaming in agony. “Ready little one?” I let out a savage war cry in answer; we dove into the air and started our own assault on the kull. Drac blew fire into the crowds of kull killing hundreds where they stood; I jumped off the saddle and started hacking at them as Drac used claw and teeth to make his way thru the line of kull. Suddenly I felt a stab at my mind as I looked around I saw the shade up at my room, I cut my way across the yard to the doors that lead up to our room, I ran up the stairs 2 at a time until I reached my room. “Well isn’t this a pleasant surprise a little girl playing rider, did you friend die?” He tried to bait me but this time I smiled. “Can’t you see him down there fighting? Or is it that you can’t see past yourself? As for playing a rider, Dracona hatched for me which means that I do have the powers to kill you shade.” He laughed at me; he saw the sword in my hand and made his own. “Shall we put that to the test then?” He said as he swung his sword towards me, I had learnt a lot from my cousin and watching all the fights in the village. After want seemed like forever I felt his sword slices thru my clothes and armour and straight thru the flesh of my back, searing hot pain coursed thru my back making me fall to the floor as tears blurred my vision. The shade kneeled down next to me as he whispered into my ear. “I had heard that when a rider dies, they can hear the dying screams of their dragon.” He laughed but I did not want Drac to share my fate so with all my remaining strength I drove my dagger into the shades heart killing him. “You first.” I hissed thru my teeth, my head fell to the floor as I saw him turn to ash. I felt Drac flying to me with Brom on his back. “LITTLE ONE HOLD ON!” Drac screamed at me, “Eve, its Brom just hold on help is coming.”
