The further she walked away and left the run-down ruins behind, the better she began to feel. Her head cleared, with the confusion and tiredness all finally passing. Stopping for a quick bite to eat, she sat down on a log and finished the fruit she had taken from Malid’s quarters. After eating, she felt much better and was soon on her way.
A few more uneventful hours followed as Khanna continued her march on the north with settlements becoming fewer the closer she got to the border.
