Ella's POV;
"You what?!" Blake shouts.
"Shhh!" I place my hand over his mouth to get him to shut up. "People might hear you!"
"Sorry! I just can't believe you! Hi-five you whore." He smirks and holds his hand out, expecting a hi-five.
I roll my eyes and leave him hanging.
"I'm supposed to be hanging out with Donte tonight," I tell him and his eyes widen.
"Donte? My mate Donte?" He asks and I nod.
"He asked me last night." I say and he smirks.
"You're pulling everyone lately aren't you." He says.
"I'm not pulling anyone. I thought about what happened between me and Mattie all night long and-" I start to say but he interrupts me.
"You're on a first name basis now are you?" He smirks.
"Shut up and listen. I thought about what happened all last night and it cant happen again." I tell him.
"What? why not?" He questions.
"Because its too dangerous. What if it happened again and we got caught? He would lose his job and get thrown in prison. It would ruin his life." I reply.
"Well I guess so, but that's why you don't do anything in school where you can get caught? He lives opposite you for f***s sake it cannot be anymore easier than that." He responds.
"I don't want to ruin his life Blake, I care about him." I say.
"You're a good person El," He tells me and I smile.
"Anyway, enough of the mushy stuff, lets go to class."
**********************************
I rush home and get changed.
I'm going to watch a movie with Donte, so I slip on a pair of high-waisted jeans and a white crop top.
I put on a pair of black boots and my leather jacket before re-doing my makeup.
Just then, my phone vibrates.
From; unknown
You should have came to study after school, its boring without you:(
What the f**k?
How the f**k did he get my number?
He must have got it when I dropped my phone yesterday, great.
I need to talk to him and let him know nothing else can happen. As much as I enjoyed it, I cant let him lose his job over it.
To; Mattie
Can we talk later? I'm going to watch a movie and it finishes at half 5, did you want to meet after?
I kind of wanted to meet somewhere public because being alone with him is too tempting, but I cant risk getting caught.
My phone vibrates again letting me know he's replied.
From; Mattie
Come to mine after your movie has finished.
I sigh before slipping my phone into my back pocket.
"I'm going out mum!" I shout.
"Okay sweetie, love you!" She replies.
"Love you too, bye!" I yell before exiting my house.
I jump on my bike and make my way to the cinema.
Its not that long of a drive so I get there pretty quickly.
But not as quick as Donte, as he's there before me.
"Ella, hey!" He greets me.
"Hey Donte!" I greet him back.
We enter the cinema and scan the boards for a good movie to watch.
"How about Absolutely Anything? Its got Simon Pegg in it so its bound to be funny." I say and he agrees.
He lines up to buy our tickets whilst I go get the food.
I get sweet popcorn, Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream, and a bunch of different bags of sweets.
I go back to Donte who is waiting for me so we can go in.
"Have you got enough food?" He laughs.
"No, but this is all I could afford." I grin and he laughs again.
We enter the screening room and take the seats right at the back because they're the best.
"Oh s**t I forgot the drinks." I moan.
"Luckily I bought some with me." He says and takes 2 bottles of water out of his bag.
"Water?" I question.
I hate water.
"Don't you like water?" He asks and I shake my head.
"Good thing its flavoured water." He says and I look at him as if he's just grown 2 heads.
"Just try it," He grins and I roll my eyes.
I open the lid and take a sip.
"Donte! You're crazy!" I whisper shout.
What I drunk was by far from flavoured water. It was vodka.
"I am indeed." He grins. "I just thought we could play a game. Every time one of us laughs, we have to take a swig."
He's crazy! But crazy people are my kind of people, so I guess this could be fun.
"But I'm driving!" I say.
"Best not laugh then," He smirks.
"You're a nutcase, you know that?" I grin and he nods.
"I know that. So, you in?" He asks.
"I'm in."
********************************
By the end of the movie, I was a tiny bit tipsy.
I tried my hardest not to laugh because I was driving home.
Donte was more drunk than I was, but he called his brother to come pick him up so he's okay.
"Well I had fun, thank you." I tell him and he grins.
"I hope you're not put off by my craziness." He says and I shake my head.
"Crazy people are my favourite." I smile.
He cups my chin and stares into my eyes.
He leans in and freeze.
His cold lips hit mine, and I pull back.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have done that." He says and looks at the floor.
"It's alright, I just don't want to rush into anything, I would rather get to know you first." I say and then feel like a hypocrite.
I don't know Mattie at all.
"Okay, so that means we can hang out again?" He asks, his voice full of hope.
"Of course," I smile before kissing him gently on the cheek.
"See you later," I say before walking towards my bike.
I jump on and start the engine up.
My vision blurs a bit at first, but then sorts itself out.
Thank god I didn't drink anymore than I did because I would be f****d right now.
I ride to my house and park my bike before walking over to Mattie's.
I knock on the door and he opens the door in just a towel covering his lower half.
He did this on f*****g purpose.
He gestures me to come in, so I do.
I take a seat on his sofa and he sits opposite me.
"Have you been drinking?" He asks.
"Maybe," I reply.
"You said you only went to the cinema," He responds.
"I did. Me and Donte played a little game. Whoever laughs at the film, has to take a swig each time." I smirk.
"That's so dangerous Ella, you could have been caught! They would have banned you from the cinema and they would have called the police," He raises his voice and I roll my eyes.
"Don't tell me you drove home?" He glares at me.
"I didn't. I rode home. You don't drive a bike you ride it," I retort and this time he rolls his eyes.
"That's so irresponsible Ella," He starts to say but I interrupt him.
"Please don't bring your boring teacher lectures outside of school," I say.
"Boring teacher lectures?" He scoffs. "These 'lectures' might save your life one day."
"I only had a little drink, its no big deal," I tell him.
"No big deal?" He raises his voice even louder so he's practically shouting. "Of course it is! You drunk in a cinema, then you drunk 'rode' home, and you're underage!"
"Oh so now you realise my age?" I yell back. "Didn't seem to bother you last night did it?" I retort.
"Anyway, I only came round here to tell you that whatever happened last night, can't happen again, and do you wanna know why I'm saying that? Because I care about you losing your job if we got caught because it would ruin your life and I don't want that for you, so you can stop trying to tell me whats dangerous and whats not," I shout and stand up to walk out, but he grabs my arm.
"Ella-"
"Get the f**k off of me," I spit, and yank my arm away from his before slamming his door shut.
I wipe my tears and run across the road to my house.
I open the door and dash upstairs to my room before locking my door.
He can't tell me what to do. He's not my dad. Plus he doesn't even know me.
I'm not some rebellious teenage brat, but I know my limits. Yes I realise drinking and driving is illegal, but I wasn't drunk, and I could ride perfectly fine.
He certainly doesn't get to shout at me.
Thank god its Saturday tomorrow so I don't have to face him until Monday.
