A woman was agonizingly crying on a hospital bed. She just received the heartbreaking news. The baby inside her has no heartbeat.
“Mi bebe! Mi bebe!” The woman cried in anguish.
“Carmen…” A man said, as he patted the back of the woman.
“What will I do now, Antonio?” Carmen asked the man. Her eyes were red and wild.
“I’m so sorry Carmen, but the doctor said that they need to schedule you for the operating room.” Another woman said. She was standing on the other side of the bed.
“Maria! Have you no heart? This is your niece inside me!” The distraught woman yelled.
The door opened and the three of them turned to the uniformed nurse.
“I’m sorry it is time; we need to prepare the patient. Please kindly wait at the lobby.” The nurse said.
