Caleb Ruby placed her hands on my shoulders. I wanted nothing more than for her to wrap her arms around my neck and lean into me. Her eyes kept fleeting to mine as if she couldn’t believe it, searching for a clue why I had sent her that message, as if ‘why her’ out of everyone. Thoughts were racing through my mind.
