Fred's POV The music was loud, but all I could hear was the sound of my own heartbeat. I saw her the moment she walked in-dark curly hair, full lips, the kind of eyes that could stop time. She looked different from others. Real. I didn't even think twice. My legs just moved. As I got closer,my hands felt cold. I never felt this nervous before. What was wrong with me ? I didn't even know her,but something about her made my heart race. “Hey there”, I said, trying to sound cool even though my voice almost failed me The blonde girl said hi first, but my eyes were on her- Ava I introduced myself, hoping she wouldn't think l was some random guy. I could feel their stares but her's…. her's made me feel like I mattered. When I asked her for a dance,I thought she would say no.l was shocked when she said yes. But then she said she had a boyfriend. I smiled, pretending it was nothing, but deep down it felt like someone punched me in the chest I wanted to say more, but the music stopped. Just like that,it was over. “See you around”,I said, trying to play cool But l knew right then. I wanted to see her again. No matter what. Ava's POV I was not mad at kylie. I was just scared of losing him. I want to spend the rest of my life with Edward.l didn't want anyone talking badly about our relationship. But Kylie shook a the walls I had spent years building everything collapsed I knew what she was saying was the truth, but I was in denial. Somewhere deep inside,i still hoped he loved me Just as l was about to say something,my phone beeped and like that,my world crumble It was him - my boyfriend, Edward He had posted something on his i********: story that threw me to this state Under the post, he'd captioned it “Forever mine” I couldn't believe it of all the people in the world,he posted a picture of my cousin with the caption. I tried to play cool, but there was a feeling inside me I couldn't explain. Whenever l tired to reach him,he gave me excuses “I'm at a meeting”, “Something came up”, “Sorry,I have to leave”,. It felt like l was at the edge. The more I wanted to get closer, the busier he became. But l wasn't ready to lose him-not now,not ever. “Hey,Ava”, Kylie said softly, her voice calm but full of emotion. I bowed my head, tears running down my checks. I couldn't bring myself to look at her. “I'm sorry if l was too harsh or if l hurt you”, she whispered. She didn't hurt me with words or harshness. She just hit a sore spot and it really hurt. The truth was painful, and l just wasn't ready to face it. “It's okay”, I whispered,my voice cracking “Are you crying?” Her face showed worry and regret for what she said “It's just about the post Edward made. It was my cousin. I'm having an emotional breakdown”, I said quietly “It's okay. Since it's your cousin she wouldn't be in a relationship with your boyfriend, right?” Kylie asked concerned “Yeah she wouldn't”, I said, trying to convince myself. “I think we should head home, I said, not in the mood anymore. “Sure”, Kylie said, leading the way to the entrance. I felt okay, but l couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. Or maybe…I didn't even know what that feeling was . “Ava!Ava!” Kylie tapped my shoulders. “You've been zoning out like five times in one night”, she teased. “I'm sorry. Let's go”, I said. And with that ,we stepped out of the hall. Just as Ava and Kylie step out of the hall, Ava's phone buzzed again Ava was not wearing any a emotion on a face when she saw the message It was from an unknown number with the four chilling words “You'll regret trusting him”.
